Maan, Sept. 29 (Petra) -- Director of Education for the Southern Badia District Bassam Al-Sbou launched the "Charity Box" initiative dedicated to supporting cancer patients during a ceremony at the directorate's building.

The ceremony honored participants in the campaign, which involved 10 schools, with Al-Husseiniya Mixed Secondary School taking first place, followed by Al-Husseiniya Mixed Basic School in second place, while Basta Secondary School for Girls took third place.

The launch of the new 2026/2027 campaign was announced with the participation of 15 schools, with emphasis on making it an ongoing charity for all who contributed to its success.

Al-Sbou stressed the importance of this initiative in embodying the values of social solidarity and giving and in enhancing a spirit of community responsibility among students, emphasizing the role of educational institutions in instilling human values and promoting a culture of volunteer work, and praising the efforts of all schools and teaching staff in achieving the campaign's goals.
