Cairo, Sept. 29 (Petra) - Arab Parliament President Mohamed Yamahi described Arab youth as the "cornerstone of regional national security."

Yamahi, speaking on Tuesday at the second Arab Youth Leaders Forum, argued that national security extends beyond traditional military dimensions. He defined modern regional security as an integrated framework that encompasses preserving identity, building public awareness, driving economic growth, countering extremist ideology, and investing in science and technology.

He stressed that young people stand at the center of this framework, using their energy and awareness to safeguard society and boost social cohesion.

He noted that addressing the region's political, economic, and security obstacles depends as much on educated youth as on resilient institutions.
