  32/ Lower House Speaker Receives 2025 Integrity Commission Report

Amman, Sept. 14 (Petra) -- Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi on Monday received a copy of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission’s 2025 annual report from Commission Chairman Hazem Majali, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker Khamis Atiyeh and several commission members.

Qadi said in a statement that the Lower House closely follows the commission’s work and responsibilities in protecting public funds and strengthening the national integrity system.

He stressed the importance of coordinating roles among state institutions to prevent corruption and address administrative and financial shortcomings wherever they occur.

Qadi described the report as an important tool for assessing the integrity system, identifying challenges facing the commission and strengthening preventive approaches to combating corruption, including early verification procedures, improved oversight tools, and greater transparency and accountability in public work.

Majali reviewed the report’s key areas and the commission’s efforts during the year, along with recommendations to develop work mechanisms and strengthen prevention of financial and administrative violations.

The meeting also addressed the commission’s efforts to raise awareness of integrity and governance concepts and enhance partnerships with state institutions to promote compliance with integrity standards and the rule of law and strengthen public confidence in state institutions.
