35/ Interior Minister Joins Global Public Security Forum in China
Amman, Sept. 9 (Petra) -- Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya participated in the Global Public Security Cooperation Forum currently being held in Lianyungang, China. As for its agenda, the forum is discussing refugee and migration issues, the use of modern technology to combat transnational organized crime, and ways to strengthen international cooperation in countering narcotics. In a keynote address, Faraya highlighted Jordan’s participation in peacekeeping forces, international police missions, and deployment of field hospitals. He also outlined Jordan’s role in training police forces in countries across the region and its regional cooperation in combating narcotics. Referring to Jordan’s investment environment, he cited political and security stability and the Kingdom’s geographic location in this context. //Petra// AO
