New York, Sept. 8 (Petra) -- The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the largest U.S. stock index, fell 628 points on Tuesday to 52,786, a decline of 1.18%.

The Nasdaq Composite fell 85 points to 26,421, down 0.32%.

The S&P 500 also dropped about 45 points to close at 7,673, a decline of 0.58%.

Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose by about $2 to $93.65 a barrel.
