41/ New Arab League task force targets regional health tourism standards
Cairo, Sept. 8 (Petra) - A specialized Arab League working group convened on Tuesday to begin drafting a regional legislative framework for accrediting and licensing health tourism facilities. The inaugural meeting, chaired by Algeria, focused on establishing standardized guidelines for certifying medical tourism centers. Participants reviewed regional models, including Algeria’s experience in thermal and hydrotherapy tourism. The initiative follows Resolution 362 from the 28th Arab Tourism Ministerial Council's regular session, which tasked the Arab League General Secretariat and Bahrain with creating a model legislative framework to boost and regulate the region's medical tourism sector. //Petra// HA
