42/ Jordan, Palestine constitutional courts sign partnership agreement
Amman, Sept. 7 (Petra) - Constitutional Court President Mohammad Ghazou met on Monday with a Palestinian Supreme Constitutional Court delegation led by Chief Justice Ali Muhanna. During the meeting, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen institutional cooperation, build judicial capacity, and exchange expertise in constitutional justice and legal affairs. Under the agreement, both courts will share published rulings, judicial precedents, and specialized research while establishing joint training programs and reciprocal visits to build institutional capacity and exchange best practices in constitutional law. Ghazou said that institutional collaboration among constitutional courts plays a "pivotal role" in upholding constitutional provisions, protecting fundamental rights and liberties, and advancing the rule of law. Muhanna, for his part, noted the significance of broadening bilateral judicial ties, praising the deep-rooted relations between Jordan and Palestine. //Petra// HA
