Amman, Sept. 7 (Petra) -- Jordanian international basketball referee Mohammad Fawzi has been named among the officials for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games in Japan, marking another international assignment for Jordanian refereeing.

Fawzi, an accredited International Basketball Federation (FIBA) referee, will officiate matches during the Games’ men’s basketball competition, scheduled to run from Sept. 10 to 20 at Aichi Arena in Nagoya.

The Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will take place from Sept. 19 through Oct. 4, bringing together athletes from across the continent.

Fawzi is also among FIBA’s elite referees, alongside fellow Jordanians Mohammad Tarawneh and Ahmad Malkawi. Their inclusion follows a series of officiating assignments at Arab, continental and international competitions.
