Amman, Sept 6 (Petra) National Muaythai team fighter Omar Awad advanced to the final of the under-24 division in the under-67 kg category on Sunday at the Senior World Muaythai Championship in Kosovo.

Awad defeated Vietnamese world champion An Ca Toan in the semifinals following a three-round contest, securing the victory via technical knockout in the third round. The win guarantees Awad at least a silver medal as he contends for gold.

Earlier in the tournament, Awad defeated Polish world champion Bartosz Pamula by first-round knockout before advancing through the quarterfinals when Croatian fighter Robert Rezo withdrew during their bout.
