Cairo, Sept. 3 (Petra) - Jordan’s Permanent Representative to Arab League, Amjad Adaileh, on Thursday led the Kingdom's delegation at the 118th Arab Economic and Social Council (AESC) meeting, held at the ministerial level at the Arab League's headqaurters in Egypt. Speaking on behalf of Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Adaileh stated the Jordan's commitment to expanding Arab economic, trade, and investment ties. Adaileh pointed to "key" agenda priorities, including the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, the Arab Customs Union, and broader regional trade and investment development. "Jordan attaches great importance to deepening Arab economic coordination and expanding the frameworks of joint action," he pointed out. Through the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply and its role in the Economic and Social Council, he said Jordan is exerting every effort to strengthen pan-Arab economic, trade, and investment relations, and is "fully" prepared to exchange expertise and activate communication channels and working mechanisms with Arab nations. He noted Jordan's "active" participation, alongside Arab nations in advancing inter-Arab cooperation projects, aimed to reach decisions and recommendations that contribute to achieving the desired Arab integration. To address the economic fallout from ongoing regional conflicts, particularly on supply chains, transport, energy, and food security, Adaileh called for more "innovative and effective" cooperation mechanisms to safeguard regional economies and advance economic integration. //Petra// HA
