Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) – The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) general index rose 0.98 percent on Wednesday, closing at 4,222 points, with total trading value reaching JD17.4 million.

A total of 6.8 million shares were traded through 5,609 transactions.

At the sectoral level, the services sector index gained 1.58 percent, while the financial sector rose 1.11 percent. The industrial sector index declined 0.57 percent.

Of the 108 companies whose shares were traded, 52 recorded price gains, while 29 registered declines.
