Amman, Oct. 4 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Sunday received the Lebanese Minister of Culture, Ghassan Salamé.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the "historic, brotherly" Jordanian-Lebanese relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various fields.

Safadi reiterated the Kingdom's support for Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty, calling for consolidating stability in Lebanon.

He also highlighted the importance of supporting the Lebanese government in its efforts to assert sovereignty over all Lebanese territory, adding that Israel should withdraw from occupied Lebanese lands and implement the understandings reached with the Lebanese government.

In turn, Salamé expressed appreciation for the Kingdom's supportive stance toward Lebanon, citing efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to support Lebanon and its people.
