Amman, October 4 (Petra) – Minister of Interior Mazen Faraya has approved the administrative governors' completion of procedures to release 442 individuals, held under administrative detention.

In its statement Sunday, the ministry said this decision is part of its ongoing measures, aimed at allowing beneficiaries to reintegrate into society, enhancing their rehabilitation prospectsand enabling them to resume normal lives with their families.

The ministry noted that the move followed a review of the detainees' files and the nature of their cases, which then determined that the time already served in detention was "sufficient."

The decision underscores the ministry's humanitarian approach to administrative detention, aimed to adhere to legal safeguards while simultaneously observe the necessary legal and security protocols to curb the criminal activity of dangerous individuals.
