20/ JFA Sets Stage for November Board Elections
Amman, Oct. 1 (Petra) -- The Jordan Football Association (JFA) has approved the formation of its General Assembly and membership applications under the independent category, completing key preparations ahead of elections for a new Board of Directors on Nov. 3. The decisions were taken during the JFA's second extraordinary General Assembly meeting of the year, held virtually Wednesday evening under the chairmanship of JFA President HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein. Opening the meeting, Prince Ali praised the Kingdom's football clubs for their central role in the national football system and their contribution to developing the game. He also welcomed the appointment of Farah Al-Badarneh as acting secretary-general, highlighting her long experience with the association and Jordanian football. Prince Ali expressed confidence in Al-Badarneh's ability to advance the JFA's institutional work during the next phase. The meeting also reviewed a resolution adopted by the General Assembly on April 9 to elect the electoral and electoral appeals committees, along with alternate members. The committees will oversee the election of the JFA's new Board of Directors during the ordinary General Assembly meeting scheduled for Nov. 3. //Petra// RZ
