  4/ Al-Nashama Begins Historic 2026 World Cup Journey 

Amman, May 28 (Petra)-- The national football team (AL-Nashama) on Thursday began its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, which kick off on June 11 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The squad departed for Switzerland to hold a training camp that will include a friendly match against the Swiss national team on Sunday, May 31, at Kybunpark Stadium in the Swiss city of St. Gallen.

The team will then travel to San Diego, United States, for a second training camp from June 1 to 10, during which Jordan will face Colombia in a friendly match on Sunday, June 7, at Snapdragon Stadium. The delegation will later move to its official World Cup base camp in Portland, Oregon.

Jordan completed its final training session in Amman on Wednesday evening at the Al-Nashama Preparation Center under the supervision of head coach Jamal Sallami, featuring 28 players after Ahmad Juaidi and Ahmad Assaf were dropped from the final squad.

The delegation includes: Yazeed Abu Laila, Abdullah Al-Fakhouri, Noor Bani Atiyah, Abdullah Nasib, Yazan Al-Arab, Hossam Abu Al-Dhahab, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Saleem Obeid, Saad Al-Rousan, Ehsan Haddad, Anas Bdewi, Muhannad Abu Taha, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Mohammad Abu Ghosh, Ibrahim Saadeh, Amer Jamous, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, Yousef Qasha, Rajaei Ayed, Mohammad Al-Dawood, Mahmoud Al-Mardi, Mousa Al-Taamari, Ibrahim Sabra, Ouda Al-Fakhouri, Mohammad Abu Zreik, Ali Olwan, and Ali Azaizeh.

The national team is preparing for their first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup, having been drawn in Group J alongside Argentina, Algeria and Austria.
