Beirut, May 17 (Petra) – Israeli airstrikes targeting villages and towns in the districts of Bint Jbeil, Tyre and Nabatieh in southern Lebanon on Sunday killed six people and injured six, including a child and a woman.

A Lebanese security source said an Israeli drone struck near a Lebanese army checkpoint in the town of Kfar, though no injuries were reported.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that the death toll from the Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,988, with 9,210 others injured.
