  21/ Prince Omar crowns winners of Aqaba Esports Championship

Amman, May 17 (Petra) -- His Royal Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, president of the Jordan Esports Federation, on Sunday crowned the winners of the 2026 Aqaba Esports Championship during the closing ceremony of the tournament’s second edition.

The championship was organized by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority in cooperation with the Jordan Esports Federation at the Wadi Rum Visitors Center, with the participation of around 210 players representing various governorates in southern Jordan.

The event was attended by a number of specialists and stakeholders in the Esports sector.

Preliminary rounds were held over two days at the Aqaba Digital Village and featured competitions in FC26 and Counter-Strike 2, before qualified players advanced to the final stage hosted at the Wadi Rum Visitors Center.

In the Counter-Strike 2 category, the NG5 team secured first place, followed by Atomic in second place and Mines in third.

In the FC26 competition, Ali Dhamour claimed first place, while Hamed Khalili and Yazan Khalifat finished second and third, respectively.
