  29/ Yarmouk University hosts inauguration of new Indonesian Student Association board

Irbid, May 16 (Petra) -- The Deanship of Student Affairs at Yarmouk University hosted a ceremony on Saturday to inaugurate the new administrative board of the Indonesian Student Association in Jordan, attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan, Ade Padmo Sarwono.

Speaking at the event, Vice President of the University Amjad Al-Nasser noted that the university, currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, highly values its relationship with Indonesian students. He emphasized that the institution views its international student body as an integral part of its academic community and remains committed to providing a supportive environment that fosters both academic excellence and campus integration.

Al-Nasser praised the active contributions of Indonesian students in cultural and volunteer activities, highlighting their role in promoting cultural exchange and diversity on campus.

For his part, Ambassador Sarwono conveyed the appreciation of the Indonesian people to Yarmouk University, thanking the institution for the care and attention given to the Indonesian student community in Jordan.

The Ambassador underlined the association's pivotal role in preserving the cultural identity of Indonesian students while building bridges of communication with Jordanian society. He called on the newly elected administrative board to fulfill their duties with a high sense of responsibility and cooperation.

The outgoing president of the association, Mohammad Agha Syaher, reviewed the key activities and programs implemented over the past year, noting the efforts made to serve Indonesian students and boost their participation in cultural and academic events.

The incoming president, Mohammad Zain Maulana, affirmed the new board's commitment to building on past achievements. He stated that the new leadership will focus on developing initiatives that serve Indonesian students, enhance their cultural and academic presence in Jordanian universities, and strengthen ties among international students.
