  16/ SSC says JD3,733 maximum wage for social security deductions 

Amman, May 14 (Petra) – The Social Security Corporation (SSC) announced the maximum wage calculated for social security contributions for the current year, 2026, has been set at JD3,733, compared to JD3,668 last year.

In a press statement on Thursday, the SSC also announced the maximum net unemployment benefit for 2026 has been set at JD623, compared to JD612 last year.

The SSC noted the change in the salary cap comes in accordance with the provisions of the Social Security Law.

The SSC stated this rate is based on the inflation level recorded in the Kingdom for the previous year, which stood at 1.77% in 2025.

Additionally, the corporation noted the average wage for Jordanian subscribers under social security umbrella in 2025 stood at JD656, compared to JD638 in 2024.
