The discussions focused on developing specialized training systems and enhancing the efficiency of national workforces in energy-related industries amid growing demand for advanced technical and safety skills across the region.

According to a statement issued Wednesday by the union, Younes Khataibeh highlighted the importance of modernizing specialized training frameworks in the petroleum sector and expanding accredited professional certification programs.

He also reviewed the union’s efforts to develop professional accreditation and classification systems at the Arab level aimed at improving training quality and aligning programs with modern international standards.

Officials said the center delivers specialized training programs designed to meet evolving sector requirements and strengthen technical competencies in petroleum operations.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish strategic cooperation between the two sides covering accreditation of training programs, development of trainers and expansion of specialized vocational pathways in oil, gas, occupational safety and health fields.

During the meeting, the Libyan delegation received an official accreditation certificate from the Arab Trainers Union in recognition of the center’s contribution to petroleum training and workforce development in Libya.
