41/ Arab Potash Company, Chinese ambassador discuss cooperation
Amman, May 13 (Petra) – Arab Potash Company (APC) Board of Directors Chairman Shehadah Abu Hdaib, and CEO Maen Nsour, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei to discuss prospects to enhance joint investment cooperation with strategic Chinese partner, State Development and Investment Group Co. (SDIC). They reviewed the "outstanding" partnership between the two sides as a success model for international investment in the Jordanian mining sector. They also discussed future cooperation prospects and ways to strengthen the APC's presence in global markets, particularly China, a strategic market for the company's products. Abu Hdaib said the existing partnership between the Arab Potash Company and SDIC is a success model of long-term strategic partnerships based on mutual trust and shared interests. The partnership with the Chinese side, he added, is a key pillar in supporting the APC's strategic directions and enhancing its ability to continue growing and adding value to the national economy. Abu Hdaib noted that the Arab Potash Company views the partnership as part of a broader economic cooperation framework between Jordan and China, given the company's international presence and strategic status in mining. He emphasized that the company's future projects will contribute to the national economy, increase the mining sector's contribution to economic growth, and boost state revenues. Nsour, for his part, also called the partnership with the Chinese side a success model of long-term investment cooperation, adding that the potash company is implementing strategic plans to raise operational efficiency and enhance the competitiveness of its products in global markets. Ambassador Guo Wei said Jordanian-Chinese economic and investment relations are steadily growing, noting cooperation between the Arab Potash Company and SDIC and voicing hope for further enhanced cooperation in the coming period. //Petra//SS
