Shdeifat, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Muhammad Hyari, other high-ranking officials, called for expediting the procedures for expanding coverage of power networks, which would "positively impact sustainability" of agricultural projects and the employment of local workers. Meanwhile, Ziad Sa’aydeh, Chairman of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission (EMRC) confirmed the Commission is working on preparing the necessary studies and coordinating with various relevant stakeholders, adding that the EMRC's established procedures allow extension of grid services to licensed water wells.
