Amman, May 12 (Petra) -- Jordan condemned an infiltration attempt by an armed group affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) into Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island with the aim of carrying out hostile acts against the Gulf state, describing it as a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a serious threat to its security and stability.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs denounced the attack as a clear breach of international law and the UN Charter.

The ministry reaffirmed Jordan’s full solidarity with Kuwait and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security, stability and the safety of its citizens.
