Amman, May 12 (Petra) -- Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD14 million on Tuesday, as 6.5 million shares were traded through 4,966 transactions.

The ASE general share price index closed at 3,896 points, up 0.69 percent, compared with the previous session.

At the sectoral level, the services and industrial indexes rose by 2.30% and 0.86%, respectively, while the financial index declined by 0.13 percent.

Of the 102 companies traded, 42 posted gains, while 31 went down, compared with their previous closing prices.
