Amman, May 11 (Petra) -- President of the Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA) Zaid Ruhi Al-Kilani has been elected Vice President of the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) for the 2027–2030 term.

The election took place during the federation’s General Assembly meeting on Monday. Al-Kilani secured the position following a vote of confidence from member states, marking a new international milestone for Jordan’s pharmaceutical sector.

In a statement, the JPA said the appointment reflects the prestigious international standing and regional respect accorded to the kingdom’s healthcare professionals. The association noted that the win highlights the competence of national cadres in managing professional dossiers and strengthens Jordan's influence in global drug policy and pharmaceutical regulation.

Asia serves as a vital global hub for pharmaceutical manufacturing and scientific research, making Jordan’s presence in the federation’s leadership strategically significant for the local industry.

FAPA is the largest professional umbrella for pharmacists on the continent. It helps modernize practice standards and coordinate efforts among member unions and associations to ensure drug safety and improve the overall quality of healthcare delivery across Asia.
