36/ Dead Sea public beach sees record 4,000 visitors over weekend

Dead Sea, May 11 (Petra)-- The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZ) announced on Monday that over 4,000 people visited its public tourist beach at the Dead Sea over the past weekend.

The surge in visitors reflects growing demand for the facilities and services provided at the site, which has become a primary leisure destination for local families and foreign tourists.

The group stated that the beach offers integrated facilities, including high-standard swimming pools, a restaurant, and a sandy beachfront. It highlighted that entry remains affordable, particularly for middle- and low-income visitors seeking access to the Dead Sea’s unique environment.

Management attributed the high turnout to continuous infrastructure development and service upgrades aimed at ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for guests, particularly during the current period of mild weather in the Jordan Valley.

The statement noted that further enhancements to the site’s facilities are underway to support domestic tourism and strengthen the Dead Sea Development Zone’s position as one of the kingdom’s premier travel destinations.
