31/ Tourism revenue at $2.17 billion amid regional challenges
Amman, May 11 (Petra) – Tourism revenue reached $2.17 billion during the first four months of 2026, according to preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ). The data showed a 9.5% decline in tourism revenue compared with the same period last year, reflecting the impact of ongoing regional developments and tensions. The decline comes amid continued regional challenges affecting the travel and tourism sector, despite efforts to boost tourism activity, stimulate domestic tourism and sustain the sector's recovery momentum. //Petra// AK
