  23/ Ma'an welcomes 1st group of "1948 Palestinian" pilgrims

Ma'an, May 11 (Petra) – Ma'an Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj and Ma'an Development Company CEO Mohammad Abu Tayeh on Monday welcomed the first group of 1948 Palestinians upon arrival at the company's "Hajj Oasis" facility.

The initiative culminates diligent efforts and extensive preparations to develop the Oasis into a fully equipped rest stop, meeting the highest standards for the pilgrims.

"The honor to welcome and serve the pilgrims, the guests of Almighty, is a religious and national duty and a source of pride for every Jordanian", said Hajjaj.

He called the Hajj Oasis "a landmark on the Hajj route", noting that such efforts are a translation of His Majesty the King's directives to provide utmost care and a safe and comfortable environment for the pilgrims on the journey of faith to Saudi Arabia for the start of the Hajj season.

The governor said a technical inspection station at the Oasis is operating at full capacity to ensure buses are fully prepared, adding that authorities will not allow any bus that does not meet technical requirements to proceed with the trip.

Abu Tayeh said the Hajj Oasis was equipped with comprehensive and inclusive facilities, including air-conditioned rest areas, restrooms, and secure bus parking spaces, ensuring a smooth and comfortable flow of pilgrims. He commended coordination with all governmental and security agencies.
