Beirut, May 9 (Petra) – Five people were killed and a sixth was wounded in Israeli airstrikes on villages in Tyre district of south Lebanon on Saturday, a Lebanese security source said.

The Israeli army also ordered residents of 10 villages in Tyre to immediately evacuate homes and move to open areas at least one kilometer away.

The source said Israeli jets and drones also carried out a series of strikes on villages in Nabatieh district, and blew up homes in the border town of Bint Jbeil as artillery bombarded the outskirts of Ghandouriyeh village.
