8/ Jordan Karting Championship Season Opens Friday at Manja Circuit
Amman, May 6 (Petra) -- Jordan's 2026 karting season will officially get underway on Friday as drivers prepare to compete in the opening round of the Jordan Karting Championship "Rotax Max Challenge" at Manja International Circuit. The event, organized by Jordan Motorsport and sponsored by Zain Jordan, is expected to attract strong competition in both the Senior and Junior categories as participants seek an early advantage in the championship standings. The 2026 season will feature five rounds, with drivers aiming to collect maximum points from the opening race to strengthen their title ambitions. Organizers said the circuit will be open free of charge to spectators, giving motorsport fans the opportunity to follow the races and qualifying sessions from close range. Seven drivers are set to compete in the Senior category: Talal Balbisi, Shaker Al-Tall, Hammad Abu Awwad, Najib Balbisi, Omar Salim, Sanad Hamoui and Samih Al-Assad. The Junior category includes four competitors: Farah Dudoukh, Alexander Izmirani, George Haddad and Zaid Abdulhadi. The opening round will be conducted under the approved sporting and technical regulations of the 2026 Jordan Karting Championship (JRKC) at the 830-meter Manja International Circuit. Organizers said the event will operate under strict technical and organizational procedures designed to maintain high safety standards throughout the competition. Under race regulations, all drivers are required to attend a mandatory briefing session covering technical instructions and race procedures before taking part in warm-up and free practice sessions. Participation in the warm-up round is a prerequisite for competing in subsequent stages, with each driver required to complete at least one timed lap. The fastest qualifying times will determine starting positions for the pre-final race, which will set the stage for the final race that decides the results of the championship’s opening round. //Petra// RZ
