Amman, May 6 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a total trading value of JD14.2 million on Wednesday, as 6.1 million shares were traded across 4,374 transactions.

The general share price index rose 0.62 percent to close at 3,862 points, compared with the previous session.

With broadly positive sectoral performance, the services and financial indexes rose by 0.95% and 0.55%, respectively, while the industrial sector edged higher by 0.24%.

Of the 98 listed companies traded, 47 posted gains, while 21 declined.
