Amman, March 24 (Petra) -- With fewer than 80 days remaining until Jordan’s historic debut at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Jordanian community in the United States is moving to organize large-scale, coordinated fan mobilization efforts aimed at supporting the national team and amplifying Jordan’s presence during the tournament.

The preparations reflect a broader push to translate the team’s qualification into a structured diaspora-driven support platform, while leveraging the global event to promote Jordan’s cultural identity and tourism profile.

Founder of the Nashama Supporters Association in the United States, Bahaa Al-Din Al-Assaf, said the initiative was launched immediately following the national team’s qualification as a youth-led effort to unify Jordanian supporters abroad and organize fan engagement in a way that reflects the Kingdom’s image internationally.

He noted that the association is implementing a coordinated plan that includes organizing fan events, rolling out media campaigns and building a nationwide communication network among Jordanians across U.S. states. The initiative also focuses on facilitating access to match tickets and streamlining attendance procedures to maximize fan turnout.

A key pillar of the plan is the "Jordanian House" project, to be established in Santa Clara, California, as a centralized fan and cultural hub. The venue is designed to combine match-viewing areas with cultural and tourism showcases and Jordanian hospitality experiences, positioning it as a platform to project Jordan’s cultural presence during the World Cup.

In parallel, the association is preparing a large-scale fan march under the banner "Nashama Parade," extending from San Diego through Los Angeles to Santa Clara, aimed at creating a visible and unified Jordanian fan presence supporting the national team throughout the tournament.

Jordan’s qualification has drawn attention from international sports media, including ESPN, which highlighted the achievement as one of the notable football milestones in Asia. The coverage linked the qualification to a cumulative development process in Jordanian football, spanning national team performance, domestic competitions and recent results in Asian qualifiers, alongside the momentum generated by the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will feature 48 teams for the first time, with Jordan making its first appearance following a historic qualifying campaign.

The upcoming participation marks a defining moment for Jordanian football, with diaspora mobilization emerging as a parallel pillar of support aimed at reinforcing the team’s presence on the global stage.
