  16/ JLGC offered JD27.2m in loan guarantees in 2025

Amman, March 24 (Petra) –Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC) remotely held its 32nd ordinary general assembly meeting for shareholders on Tuesday.

Vice Chairman of the JLGC Board of Directors, Dr. Kamal Bakri chaired the meeting.

Talking at the event, Bakri said the corporation succeeded in establishing a "successful model" of public-private partnership during 2025.

He noted JLGC's "significant" growth in business volume and its developmental role in facilitating access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as supporting Jordanian exporters through the Export Credit Guarantee Program.

Despite the economic challenges and geopolitical repercussions during 2025, he noted the JLGC continued to achieve "positive" operational results as a "leading" national institution in providing loan guarantee services in the Kingdom.

For his part, the JLGC's General Manager, Adnan Naji, reviewed the operational and financial performance for 2025, adding that the corporation provided loan guarantees to approximately 1,848 SMEs with a total value of around JD233 million.

Naji stated this figure included 241 startups, as loan guarantees totalled JD27.2 million, while 709 micro-enterprises benefited from the Micro-Enterprise Support Program, with guarantees amounting to about JD4.8 million.

According to its data, the JLGC also continued to implement its Export and Domestic Sales Credit Guarantee Program by granting loan guarantees for more than 4,622 export shipments and domestic sales during 2025 with a guaranteed value exceeding JD230.4 million, designed for over 421 buyers in 47 countries.

Financially, the JLGC revenues increased during 2025 to JD50.7 million, compared to JD49.1 million in 2024, while pre-tax profits reached JD2.5 million.

Shareholders' equity also rose to JD45.5 million, while the JLGC's assets reached JD806 million by the end of 2025, reflecting its "strong" financial position.
