Amman, March 19 (Petra) – Chief of the Joint Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Thursday received the UK Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa (DSAME), Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, and his accompanying delegation.

In a meeting held at the General Command headquarters of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army, Huneiti and his guest discussed regional and international developments and ways to enhance joint military cooperation in various fields,, within the framework of the "strategic" defense partnership between the two friendly countries.

In turn, Ahlgren expressed his appreciation for Jordan's "significant" efforts under His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership to establish security and stability in the region, emphasizing his country's keenness to expand horizons of joint military cooperation.

A number of senior JAF officers and the British Defense Attaché in Amman attended the meeting.
