18/ FM discusses regional escalation with Bosnian, Norwegian counterparts

Amman, March 2 (Petra) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi discussed on Monday with Bosnian Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovi? and Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide the fallout from the current dangerous escalation in the region, prospects for de-escalation and restoring calm, and resorting to diplomacy as a path to consolidate security and stability.

In separate phone calls with his counterparts, Safadi reiterated Jordan's condemnation of Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and the brotherly Gulf Arab states as an unjustified escalation and a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of states.

He reiterated that Jordan and the Arab states will take all necessary and available steps to protect their citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty.

The foreign ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Norway expressed their solidarity with the Kingdom in confronting these attacks, and stressed diplomacy as a means to restore stability.
