Amman, March 2 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II received a phone call from Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Monday, and discussed the recent escalation in the region.

His Majesty underscored that ensuring the safety of Jordan’s citizens is the utmost priority, as well as preserving the Kingdom’s security and stability.

The two sides emphasized that regional tensions need to be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic channels in order to achieve comprehensive calm.
