Moscow, June 19 (Petra)-- Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Friday expressed growing concern over Israeli restrictions on the entry of international humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, the ministry said that Russia’s mission to the United Nations Security Council had reiterated the need to protect civilians in Gaza and halt Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement.

The mission also voiced Moscow’s concern over the continued restrictions imposed by Israel on the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the enclave, the statement added.

Russia called on Israel to facilitate and support efforts aimed at humanitarian relief and the reconstruction of Gaza.
