32/ Royal Film Commission opens submissions for Jordan's Children and Youth Film Festival

Amman, June 15 (Petra) - The Royal Film Commission (RFC) announced on Monday that submissions are open for directors and producers in children and youth cinema to showcase their films at the 5th annual Jordan Children and Youth's Film Festival (JCYFF) on August 21–27.

RFC invited interested participants to fill out the application form before the end of Saturday, July 19.

Prospective films must meet several eligibility requirements, according to the RFC. Movies must not have been released, screened or distributed before 2024, whether on television or online.

The festival accepts both feature-length and short films, as well as animated productions. Submissions must be in high-quality digital formats, specifically MOV or MP4.

Films must not contain scenes, events or language inappropriate for youth aged 7 to 17.

The RFC urged applicants to comply with intellectual property rights requirements.

For international entries, films presented in languages other than Arabic must include Arabic subtitles or have the capability to provide Arabic subtitling, dubbing or simultaneous interpretation.

A dedicated selection committee will review all submissions and determine the final lineup.

Interested filmmakers can submit their applications through the festival's online application form (https://forms.gle/RhmkAjjMwYovdjnB8). Additional information is available through the festival administration via email at JCYFF@film.jo.
