41/ Jordanian field hospital treats nearly 9,000 patients in southern Gaza
Amman, June 14 (Petra) -- The Jordanian Field Hospital Southern Gaza/10 continues to deliver medical and humanitarian services to residents in the Gaza Strip, operating under royal directives to provide ongoing support to the Palestinian people. The force commander stated that the hospital’s qualified medical and nursing teams are managing a wide range of illnesses and injuries with high readiness and efficiency. The facility performs both major and minor surgeries, provides emergency medical care, and dispenses essential medications. The commander emphasized the hospital's commitment to fulfilling its humanitarian and medical mission to alleviate suffering in the Gaza Strip. The hospital director reported that staff have treated 8,979 cases across various departments from May 11 to date. The hospital performed 59 major surgeries and 100 minor and intermediate procedures. Additionally, the facility fitted 67 prosthetic limbs for injured individuals through its amputee support unit as part of the "Restoring Hope" initiative. This brings the total number of prosthetic limbs fitted since the launch of the initiative to more than 1,100. Residents of southern Gaza expressed their appreciation for Jordan's efforts to support the Palestinian population, praising Amman's consistent stance and continuous humanitarian and medical aid under current conditions. The Jordanian Field Hospital Southern Gaza/10 features specialized clinics covering internal medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, and general medicine.
