Amman, June 14 (Petra) -- Morocco and Brazil opened their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaigns with a hard-fought 1-1 draw in a Group Stage encounter at MetLife Stadium in the United States.

Morocco struck first through Ismael Saibari, who found the net in the 21st minute to give the Atlas Lions an early advantage. Brazil responded before halftime, with Vinicius Junior leveling the score in the 32nd minute.

Despite opportunities for both sides in the remainder of the match, neither team was able to find a winner, leaving them to settle for a point apiece in their opening fixture of the tournament.
