19/ ACC receives 3 int'l certifications from Bureau Veritas

Amman, June 14 (Petra) – Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) on Sunday received 3 international certifications for its management systems.

These certificates were ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) certification and ISO 10001:2018 Customer Complaints and Satisfaction Management System certification, following the transfer of their accreditation to Bureau Veritas.

The chamber also received ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management certification after successfully passing the renewal audit conducted by Bureau Veritas.

The chamber had previously held this certification from another certifying body, which was renewed, in accordance with the requirements of the approved international standard.

This effort reiterates the chamber's continued commitment to implementing the best practices in risk management and enhancing institutional performance.

The certificates were handed over to ACC's Chairman, Senator Khalil Haj Tawfiq, while Ahmad Khawaja represented Bureau Veritas, Director of Accreditation and Certification for Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon, and the company's General Manager in Jordan, alongside other several other company officials, were present.

According to the ACC statement, Haj Tawfiq said the chamber obtained these certifications after fulfilling all auditing requirements and reviewing institutional documents and procedures in accordance with approved international standards.

This milestone, he noted, confirms the ACC's commitment to implementing the best administrative practices and enhancing efficiency of its institutional performance and quality of services provided to its members.

Haj Tawfiq stated these international certifications reflect the chamber's ongoing commitment to developing its institutional performance and raising level of its services, based on the best global standards in management, quality, customer satisfaction, and risk management.

Haj Tawfiq noted this achievement is the outcome of continuous efforts in planning and improvement, as well as enhancing performance efficiency, and developing the work environment.

The chamber will make all efforts in keeping pace with the rapid developments in the business environment and enhancing the quality of its services and institutional procedures to achieve the highest levels of satisfaction and trust among its members and service recipients, he pointed out.

For his part, Khawaja affirmed ACC's milestone reflects a "high level of institutional commitment" to implementing international standards in management, quality, and risk management.

He noted the chamber's success in passing the audit requirements confirms efficiency of the ACC's systems and procedures.

He noted these certifications constitute a practical framework for continuous improvement to enhance performance efficiency, and strengthen confidence of service recipients, in line with the best international practices adopted in this field.

On its efforts to win the recognition, he said the chamber presented an "advanced institutional model" in implementing modern management systems, which helped the ACC clinch these certificates, based on the highest international accreditation and evaluation requirements.
