Beirut, June 13 (Petra) – Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes on southern Lebanon on Saturday, targeting Qana in Tyre, Jabal al-Rihan in Jezzine, and villages in Nabatieh district, a Lebanese security source in Beirut said.

The air raids left one person dead and injured another in the town of al-Rihan, and aircraft struck the vicinity of a Lebanese army checkpoint at the Kufr Houna triangle in Jezzine, the source said.

It added that an Israeli drone targeted a Lebanese Army soldier, but he was not hurt, and the aircraft returned, hitting him and seriously wounding him on the Kafr Rumman road in Nabatieh.

Another drone struck an ambulance crew to stop them from reaching the "Jabal" (mountain) area in the town of Siddiqin in Tyre to evacuate wounded people, said the source.
