2/ Mild Summer Weather forecast Through Monday - JMD
Amman, June 12 (Petra)-- Moderate summer weather is expected across most parts of the Kingdom on Friday, while relatively hot conditions will prevail in the Badia region and hot weather is forecast in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. According to a report issued by the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), similar weather conditions are expected to continue through Monday. Temperatures will remain moderate across most regions, relatively hot in the Badia, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will be moderate in speed, becoming active at times, particularly in the Badia areas. Forecast temperatures for Friday are expected to range between 30 C and 17 C in East Amman, and 28 C and 15 C in West Amman. Temperatures in the northern highlands will range between 25 C and 14 C, while the Sharah Highlands will record 26 C and 13 C. The Badia region is expected to see temperatures between 35 C and 16 C, while the plains will range from 29 C to 14 C. In the Jordan Valley, temperatures are forecast to reach 37 C in the northern areas and 39 C in the southern areas, with lows of 20 C and 23 C respectively. The Dead Sea is expected to record temperatures between 39 C and 22 C, while Aqaba will see highs of 40 C and lows of 24 C. //Petra// MF
