Baghdad, June 11 (Petra)-- Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday condemned the attacks targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, expressing deep concern over the renewed escalation in the region and warning of its potential consequences for regional security and stability.

In a statement, the ministry said it deeply regretted the resurgence of tensions in the region, noting that the current circumstances require prioritizing dialogue, wisdom and intensified efforts to contain the crisis.

The ministry called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint and work collectively to end the cycle of conflict and escalation. It stressed the importance of pursuing diplomatic channels and peaceful solutions to address ongoing disputes in a manner that enhances security and stability across the region.

Iraq also emphasized that the stability of Arab countries and neighboring states is closely linked to Iraq's own security and national interests. The ministry underscored the need to preserve strategic relations among regional countries and safeguard shared interests that support the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.

Furthermore, the ministry warned of the dangers of the region sliding into a broader confrontation, cautioning that such a scenario could have severe repercussions for both regional and international security. It stressed the importance of maintaining balance and taking into account the strategic interests of all parties in order to prevent further tensions and instability.
