Amman, June 10 (Petra) – The Hashemite Fund for the Development of Jordan Badia (HFDJB) won two prestigious international awards for the exceptional quality of its extra virgin olive oil, produced at the Sabha Development Group in the North-Eastern Badia. The silver awards were in recognition of the outstanding quality of its extra virgin olive oil at both the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards (GOOA) and the London International Olive Oil Competitions (LIOOC). It marks a new international achievement for the fund, placing it among the most prominent and important international competitions specializing in the quality of extra virgin olive oil worldwide. The fund secured the awards for the third consecutive year, and this year's silver award in Berlin followed last year's bronze. The awards reflect the excellence of Jordanian olive oil and its ability to compete and win at the most prestigious international events specializing in extra virgin olive oil, commented HRH Princess Basma bint Ali, Chairperson of the HFDJB Board of Trustees. "This global recognition confirms the exceptional quality of Jordanian olive oil and the success in implementing the highest agricultural and production standards," she added. It also reflects the efforts made in developing the agricultural sector and enhancing the competitiveness of national products in international markets and forums, she said. For his part, HFDJB Director Ayesh Qatarneh said the achievement has been officially documented on the Elite Olive Oils Global Index, a step that strengthens the international presence of the fund's products as the world's elite olive oil products. To maximize the product's economic viability, the necessary arrangements were made to participate in international competitions focused on extra virgin olive oil to win awards that enhance the product's added value, he added. //Petra//SS
