Amman, June 8 (Petra) -- The technical staff of the national football team, led by coach Jamal Sellami, on Monday announced the call-up of player Mohammad Abu Ghosh to join the squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

Abu Ghosh's inclusion follows an injury to Ibrahim Sabrah, which ruled him out of the tournament.

The decision to add Abu Ghosh came after medical examinations for Sabrah revealed a ligament tear in his left ankle, requiring his exclusion from the roster due to medical unfitness.

The national team is set to kick off its World Cup campaign on June 17 against Austria, followed by a match against Algeria on June 23, before wrapping up the group stage against Argentina on June 28.
