New York, June 8 (Petra) -- The Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Khaled El-Enany, on Monday appointed Jordan's Nayef Al-Fayez as Assistant Director-General for Culture.

According to an official statement published on UNESCO's website, Al-Fayez brings over 30 years of extensive experience in senior executive roles and public governance to the position.
