Baghdad, June 8 (Petra) -- Iraqi Airways early Monday announced the suspension of all scheduled inbound and outbound flights during the period of Iraq’s temporary airspace closure.

In a statement, the airline said the decision comes in line with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority’s order to temporarily and preventively close Iraqi airspace.

It added that the measure is in compliance with directives issued by relevant authorities and is aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, as well as flight and operational crews.
