  2/ Kingdom to See Gradual Rise in Temperatures Through Early Next Week

Amman, July 17 (Petra)-- The Kingdom will experience typical summer weather on Friday, with warm conditions prevailing across most regions and hotter weather in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The department said northwesterly moderate winds will prevail, becoming occasionally active during the day.

A slight increase in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, bringing relatively hot weather to most parts of the Kingdom, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will remain hot. Moderate northwesterly winds are expected, with occasional stronger gusts in the Badia.

Temperatures are expected to rise slightly again on Sunday. Conditions will remain relatively hot across most regions, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience hot to very hot weather. Moderate northwesterly winds will continue, becoming active at times.

Similar conditions are forecast for Monday, with relatively hot weather in most areas and hot to very hot conditions in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will remain active intermittently.

Friday's forecast temperatures range between 34C and 22C in eastern Amman, 32C and 20C in western Amman, 29C and 17C in the northern highlands, 30C and 18C in the Sharah Highlands, 38C and 20C in the Badia, 33C and 21C in the plains, 40C and 26C in the northern Jordan Valley, 42C and 27C in the southern Jordan Valley, 41C and 27C at the Dead Sea, and 42C and 28C in Aqaba.
