57/ Saudi Arabia condemns Iranian threats targeting Jordan and Gulf nations
Amman, July 14 (Petra) -- Saudi Arabia on Tuesday strongly condemned and denounced Iran's ongoing actions threatening regional security and stability, which have targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned Iranian actions targeting several Kuwaiti border posts, an offshore drilling rig belonging to the Kuwait Oil Company, the Consulate General of Kuwait in the Iraqi city of Basra, and two Emirati oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). In a statement, the ministry expressed Riyadh's absolute rejection of Iran's violations of the sovereignty of sisterly nations. It criticized Iran's continuous destabilizing behavior in the region, which violates the principles of international law, the UN Charter, the Charter of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the rules of good neighborliness. Saudi Arabia held Iran fully responsible for the consequences of these ongoing hostile actions, demanding an immediate halt to these violations to preserve regional security, stability, and safety. The kingdom reaffirmed its full solidarity with its sisterly nations in any measures they take to protect their sovereignty and security. //Petra// AF
